Erika sat in one of the boothes toward the back of the Grill. She had her sketch book out, working on a drawing that she had started in Art class, but never finished it. She looked back to her reference picture, making sure she had every detail just right. She could remember when she felt to devoted to someone, it was scary, but she hadn't felt like that for anyone in over 100 years. Career Night was tonight at the High School. She mentally groaned. Her brat "cousin" would most likely make her go. What a jerk. she thought. Her thought was about Damon, he was very nice when he was a human, but now, well he was a jerk and a huge one. She prefered Stefan over Damon any day. He didn't force her into doing things that she reallly had no intentions of doing. Like Career Night. Erika sighed as she looked up, her eyes slowly moving across the room, they landed on a veyr handsome young man who goes by the name of Jeremy Gilert. she had been watching him for a year now, and even before then, she baby sat him once, on a visit to see Zach. He was so cute then and he was just plain gorgeous now. She looked away as his eyes met her momentarily. She watched his movements slowly as he walked over to her.

Walks over to Erika and peers at what she's drawing. "Nice, Erika. Really nice, actually. I didn't know you were into drawing." He gestured to the chair opposite her. "Mind if I sit down?"

Erika smiled slightly, she felt her cheeks become slightly warm, turning into a nice rosey pink. Erika's eyes slowly moved up and down his body, meeting his eyes once, "Thanks, um, yeah. I've been drawing for...a while now." she said, her voice was soft, almost like a gentle wind, as she watched him gesture to the chair, "Well, I don't own it, so you don't actually need to ask. I'm just wasting time before I have to go to Career Night." she tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear. She let her eyes's stray to his again. They were so beautiful, so warm, yet they hold memories that he most likely doesn't want to have to bring up again, "Hey, are you going to Career Night tonight?" she asked sweetly.

Jeremy sat down and ran his fingers through his perpetually unruly hair. "I don't know. Seems like such a waste of time. I mean, how many choices do we actually have here?" He looked around. "Police? Not exactly my style. News? Forget it, after that whole thing with Logan I don't even watch the news anymore. Can't really see myself teaching, not that interested in politics and I don't want to work at the Grill for the rest of my life." He shrugged. "What about you?"

Erika smiled as he sat down. She watched him run his fingers through his ver so sexy hair. Just messy enough that it made him look hot. She laughed as he listed various career options that would be avalible careers that would be there tonight, "Oh c'mon. You'd be a great teacher! You could totally take control of all of those rowdy kids!" she joked, "I've always loved anything to do with the fine arts. Mostly drawing. I also want to be a writer. Both things are definatly a passion. My...father got me started on both when I was very young, in fact, I gave Johnathan Gil..." she shut up once she realized that she was bringing up past events, from way back then. She shook her head once and then looked up at him, smiling.

Jeremy grinned at the idea of teaching. "Yeah, I'd be a great teacher, I can't stand half the kids I go to school with now, why would I want to permanently subject myself to them?" He laughed at the idea. "It would be like repeating high school over and over and having to put up with different jerks, same attitudes. No thanks." He watched her touch up her drawing for a few moments. "What about you? What do you want to do after high school? You going on to college?"

Erika laughed lightly. He had no idea what it was like repeating high school over and over again. It really was different jerks with different attitudes. They sat in silence for a few moments, she did some final touch up to her drawing. Her eyes met his again as she turned to a new page, "Don't move." she said, beinging to do the start of a portrait, "College. My future. I can tell you that once I'm done high school, I'm leaving Mystic Falls. Don't get me wrong, it's a great little town, but I think I may move to Las Vegas and become a stripper." she alughed at Jeremy's expression, "I'm completely kidding. I could never be a stripper, too whore-ish for me. Not something I'm interested in." she said, her eyes flickering from him to her paper, "What about you? What's your after high school plans?" she asked.

"I'm thinking maybe a career as a nude model," he said with a straight face, but he only managed to hold it for a moment before he burst out laughing. "You should see the look on your face! Did you think I was serious or did I just really gross you out?"

Erika looked up at him, her eyes wide and her mouth open. She was stunned at his comment, then she saw him burst out into laughter, "Not funny Jer!" she said, laughing, "I thought you were serious." Not that her mind wasn't wandering off in that general direction, "Now for real, what do you want to do with your life after high school? Stop moving." she said, trying to do a quick sketch of him. She was trying to get all of his ever so perfect features into this one drawing. She was always amazing at doing portraits, she did a few when she was still human. She smiled to herself as she drew.

Jeremy grinned at her. "Sorry, I couldn't resist, but you did kinda have that coming you know."
He tried to sit reasonably still without fidgeting too much. "I have no idea what I'm going to do. Right now I'm just trying to make it through high school, you know? I dropped the ball a while back and I'm still trying to make up for it."

Erika's mind was till wandering off at the thought of Jeremy being a naked model. She smirked to herself, and tried to get that image out of her head, "You're forgiven...for now." she said, laughing slighly. She loved his features. She loved how preportioned his face was. She didn't know why, mind you, but she did love it. She looked up at Jeremy, remembering Halloween Night, and hating how much pain he was in because of Vicki. Because of Damon. "I remember, I remember it quite well..." she said quietly. She looked away for a brief moment then back at her drawing, "You know, if you need help on anything at all. Just let me know. I have amazing grades." she said. Of course I have amazing grades. I've lived through alot of the history and I've done high school far to many times... she thought to herself.

"Seriously?" Jeremy asked, sitting forward. "Mr. Saltzman said I could do an extra project to make up my marks, like an essay, you know? I found my grandfather's journal and I thought I might do something on the history of Mystic Falls. Local folklore and stuff like that." He shrugged. "I think the general consensus was that he was crazy anyway, but it's interesting reading. You'd help me with that?"

Erika laughed, Johnathan Gilbert wasn't crazy, he was brilliant. She looked at Jeremy, "You moved." she said, watching him go back to his orginal position, "I love essays and I love this town history. I could be a big help with your essay you know." Erika smiled sweetly at him, "Any specific topic you want to do for your essay, aside from the local folklore." she looked at him, "You don't actually believe that vampires used to roam freely around Mystic Falls? Wreaking havic wherever ever they went. Preying on the unexpecting humans?" she secretly hoped he did. She wanted someone else to know about her little secret, "I mean, it's totally cool if you do." she said, trying to pull a good recovery.

Jeremy laughed and returned to his original pose. "Sorry, sitting still isn't one of my better things."
He thought about her question for a moment, then shrugged. "Vampires wreaking havoc around town? I don't know. I mean, sure why not? There's more out there than I know I'll ever see, right? Of course, if there were vampires running around back in the mid 1800s, where did they all go? Were they run out of town? Did they leave on their own? Or maybe, just maybe, they're still here, but over the years they've learned to be more secretive and careful." He grinned at her. "Look at old Mrs. Fauville, she's gotta be nearing a hundred, maybe she's one!"

Erika smiled to him as she showed him the quick, yet detailed sketch of him, "Lucky for you that I'm done then." she said, as she rested her arms on the tabel and leaned forward, "Last I heard, in 1864 they rounded up most of the vampires and shoved them into a tomb, although, that's just what I read in my own ansestor's journal. She knew Johnathan quite well, or at least it seemed like she did." Erika said, grinning, "She seemed pretty cool then. I kind of wish I could go back in time and meet her, but I need to saty focused on high school, not wanting to travel back in time. Mrs. Fauville is a very nice old lady who I think may be going senial, most vampires doesn't usually go senial." she laughed lightly.
